Everton saw their winless streak extended to four matches on Saturday after falling to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
The Toffees’ woeful run of form started with a narrow defeat in the Merseyside derby to Liverpool, before draws against Newcastle United and Watford followed – leaving Marco Silva’s side with plenty to improve upon.
While a positive result against Manchester City was always going to be difficult to secure, fans were unhappy with the manner of the defeat and the performance shown by a number of players in particular.
One of those to be criticised was Richarlison as fans were critical of his inability to convert in front of goal, which provided further indication that a new forward is required in January to rejuvenate the Toffees’ forward line.

If Richarlison could hit the target today that would be nice. That needs to go on frame at least. Wasted chances. #efc

Richarlison spurns another good chance after he & Lookman overrun the #MCFC defence before the ball comes back to the Brazilian just outside the area. Wasteful. #EFC
