Everton have improved dramatically under the guidance of Marco Silva this season, boasting a record of just two defeats in their last nine Premier League matches.
However, the recent loss to Liverpool and the 1-1 draw with Newcastle United that followed has provided further evidence that additional recruits are needed in attack – where the Toffees are without a consistent centre-forward.
The struggles are nothing new for supporters who have seen their side fail to replace Romelu Lukaku following his move to Manchester United in 2017 and a bold claim has been made from celebrity Everton fan Anthony Bellew, who has revealed he would like to see the Belgian back at Goodison Park.
That led to quite a discussion on social media as plenty gave their thoughts on the situation, with some sharing the same views as Bellew while others believe Lukaku is past his best and a return to be avoided.
We have gathered some of the comments below.

No way I’d have him back. He’s overweight and still hasn’t developed a first touch. And the moment he’d score his first goal would be the moment he’s plotting his move to a “bigger” club again

Not for me either, current group seems to have no ego’s, dont need a bad egg in there, got rid of the last one hopefully in mirallas. Rather see us go elsewhere for a striker
