It is fair to say that Everton’s attempts to fill the void left by Romelu Lukaku’s move to Manchester United in 2017 have failed significantly.
To this day, the Toffees still do not have a top-class recognised centre-forward in their ranks, instead relying on Richarlison to plug the hole in the final third, and the moves they have made in the market have fallen short of expectations.
One of those forgetful additions was Sandro Ramirez, signed by Ronald Koeman in the same summer that Lukaku left but now spending time on loan with LaLiga side Real Sociedad after failing to make the grade at Goodison Park.
The 23-year-old’s struggles have followed him to the Basque county as he has failed to score in any of his five appearances in the league this season – and went viral for all the wrong reasons at the weekend after a hilarious miskick.
