Some Everton supporters have been reacting on social media after Phil Kirkbride of the Liverpool Echo suggested Nikola Vlasic wants to permanently leave Goodison Park this summer.
The 21-year-old had left Merseyside a year ago on loan, as Marco Silva was unable to guarantee the Ronald Koeman signing that there would be minutes on offer during the Portuguese head coach’s inaugural season.
Now, the Croatia international is understood to want to secure a permanent exit from the club, amid interest from Besiktas and CSKA Moscow, whom he joined on loan last summer.
During his year away from Merseyside, 5 ft 8 Vlasic made 31 appearances in all competitions, in which he scored eight times and was accredited with seven assists – including scoring the winner at home to Real Madrid in the Champions League Group Stage.
CSKA have not hid their desires of turning his temporary deal into a full-time arrangement, but we appear to be risking pricing the Russian Premier Liga side – or their Super Lig transfer vial – out of the market.
Kirkbride claims we are keen to demand some form of profit on the £10million we paid Hajduk Split in 2017, but Moscow’s and Bestikas’ record signings came under that figure.
When Kirkbride’s claims were then shared on Reddit, here’s how these Everton fans reacted…
