Everton have been rejuvenated under the guidance of Marco Silva, returning to fight at the top half of the Premier League and shining after some smart business in the summer.
The Toffees have seen the likes of Richarlison, Andre Gomes, Yerry Mina and Lucas Digne become vital assets immediately after their arrival at Goodison Park – which presents Silva with a strong core to build upon in future transfer windows.
Naturally, the flurry of new arrivals led to some departures but a few were only on a temporary basis – and that included 21-year-old Croatia midfielder Nikola Vlasic, who joined CSKA Moscow for the season and has since excelled with the Russian outfit.
Catching the eye again in midweek as CSKA shocked Europe by defeating Real Madrid 3-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu in the Champions League, discussions have circled around his long-term future and fans have reacted after he suggested he could leave permanently next summer.
