Have Everton Received The Pundits Kiss Of Death Ahead Of Burnley Clash

|

Everton go into their penultimate Premier League game of the season later this evening as we welcome Burnley to Goodison Park for the final home game of the 2018/19 campaign.

After poor form earlier in the season, after what had otherwise been quite a bright start to the year, the side have got their acts together under manager Marco Silva in more recent time and despite the occasional hiccup (Fulham), our good form sends us into tonight’s clash with three wins and a draw from our last five matches.

Burnley are in decent form themselves now as well after their own struggles earlier in the campaign, but BBC pundit believes that we will take a pretty comfortable win over Sean Dyche’s side, and he’s given us a 2-0 victory in his latest round of predictions.

“I am backing Everton here. They have got it together in the past few weeks and the way they are ending the season is probably the way their fans were expecting them to perform throughout the whole campaign.”

Former Liverpool defender Lawro does lead the table in the BBC’s predictions, but many would argue that’s because few of the guests know much about football.

Everton fans will be hoping he’s right as we look to end the campaign strongly, the more pessimistic will feel he’s just given us the kiss of death.
