On the back of Sunday’s hugely disappointing loss to Liverpool in the Merseyside derby, manager Marco Silva’s side are back in action on Wednesday evening as we welcome Newcastle United to Goodison Park.

Rafa Benitez’s side have got themselves up and running in the Premier League campaign of 2018/19 and had registered three straight victories prior to their defeat last weekend against West Ham United, so nobody should assume it will be an easy game but there’s confidence that we can get back to winning ways to keep our season going.

Helping that is the latest injury update from

According to their table, we have now cleared up all of our knocks and niggles that have hung around the necks of some players in recent weeks, and as long as they aren’t wrong and I’ve not missed an obvious piece of injury news, we have a completely clean bill of health going into the game.

That’s unlikely to mean any changes given Silva’s preferred starting XI, but it should mean competition on the training pitch has taken a boost and we should get the benefit of that if nothing else.
