Jordan Pickford was excellent in goal last night for the Three Lions as England ran out 3-2 winners over Spain in a pulsating clash.
I’ve made it known that I’m no big fan of the international break but, sometimes, games like that make you enjoy it regardless.
Certainly, watching Pickford make saves, command his area and ping passes is something I am always going to welcome and it’s clear that his performance went down well with a lot of our fans too.
After he posted this message on Twitter, it was clear that a number of Blues were loving every single moment of his display:
What a performance from the boys tonight. Ledge result! 🦁🦁🦁 #sendthemin @England pic.twitter.com/XI96atTW6h

Certainly, he was a beast between the sticks last night as England almost came of age.
It’d be typical to get too excited about the result, of course, but they went toe-to-toe with one of the best sides in the world and came out on top in a competitive game.
Pickford, too, looks like a number 1 for years to come.
