For the first time in five years an Everton General Meeting will take place this evening.

The event will take place at the Philharmonic Hall with only invited shareholders and appointed proxy holders able to attend, however the evening will be covered live by evertonfc.com.

The meeting was called by the Everton FC Shareholders’ Association after a ballot was held last month to see if there was support for a meeting for the first time since 2008.

Everton chairman Bill Kenwright will attend the meeting and will present information regarding the football clubs financial performance and vision for the future.

Everton deputy chairman Jon Woods, life president Sir Philip Carter and chief executive officer Robert Elstone will also be in attendance, with Elstone giving an ‘in-depth presentation’ on the financial performance over the past five years.

The meeting will also see the need for formal Annual General Meetings to be permanently reinstated discussed.

A general question and answers session with BK will close the meeting and a lot of Evertonians will be looking forward to hopefully learning a little bit more about the clubs current position.
