Sometimes it’s the simplest things that can make all the difference in football, and Tom Davies’ simple team talk in the tunnel before the second-half is certainly an example of this.

A video released from Everton’s official Twitter account showed the England U-21 international hyping up his teammates in the Goodison Park tunnel ahead of the second-half against the Irons, a game Marco Silva’s side would go on to win 2-0, ending a run of four games in the Premier League without picking up a single point.
The clip struck a core with Everton fans on social media, who were delighted to not only see Davies back in the starting XI but also making the most of his opportunity by delivering a good performance as well as getting his teammates energised in a must-win game.

Hope he stays in the side and proves his doubters wrong. Only one in that side who’s first thought is to play or carry the ball forward.

The result took Everton up to 15th in the Premier League table, on level points with Manchester United in the standings and giving the Toffees more breathing room in the English top-flight.
