The 56-year-old joins us from PSV Eindhoven and it’s hardly a secret with announcements already made and interviews with the man held.
His latest full interview with the Official Site can be read by clicking that link.
In short, he speaks about already arranging a house in the area and he thanked the club for helping him to quickly find a family home so he could settle in, lay down roots, and more quickly get stuck into work life at Finch Farm.
He hopes to move in on the day he begins his new job and it is only 20 minutes from the training ground which should help.
Obviously Brands’ first focus will be the appointment of a new manager and Sky Sports were reporting yesterday that with him beginning work this week, the expectation was that Marco Silva would be confirmed as the new gaffer before next Monday.
They stated it was a 99% done deal, with conversations already taking place between the two as to how their working relationship would move forward. It appears it just needs the rubber stamp now.
If it is to be Silva, then we should hopefully be motoring by next week and fans will see plans quickly fall into place given the lull we’ve had so far.
High up on his task list, I'm sure. He's been involved even before his official start date. No point in appointing a manager before he's able to have a proper input.
