It was an eventful final day of Premier League action for Everton fans as we made the trip to London to face Champions League Finalists Tottenham Hotspur.

Having fallen behind three minutes into the game, the second half saw us score twice in three minutes to take the lead, but sadly the hosts had a response of their own three minutes later and we ultimately took a point from a 2-2 draw to bring the curtain down on 2018/19.

Another story from Sunday was Liverpool’s failure to close the gap on Manchester City in top spot and lift the title, and hat entertained many within the fanbase as well.

Reacting to our result on social media, former player Leon Osman believed that we could take plenty of positives out of the way we ended the season but he felt we would significantly kick on over the summer as long as our recruitment was spot on under Marco Silva and Marcel Brands.

Plenty in the Goodison faithful will be hoping he’s right, but with things better clicking in the squad as the year came to a close, that foundation has to be kept now and we should see greater consistency next year.

Then we’ll just have to see how far we can go.
