Everton fans with more than a passing interest in the modern craze of social media will be more than aware that former Evertonian Kevin Campbell isn’t shy of giving his thoughts on the club on Twitter.
After watching the Bury vs Everton game last night Marco Silva has plenty of moving and shaking to do. Get ruthless and get rid of the dead wood and recruit quality in key areas. @JoeWilliams0812 get fit and push for the centre midfield spot! ⚽️👍🏿😉

The now 48-year-old had two spells at Goodison Park in his playing career, he joined us initially on loan initially in the second half of the 1998/99 season when he made the switch from Trabzonspor – eight starting appearances with a return of nine goals. We signed him permanently that summer for a reported £3million and he went on to make 131 starting appearances, with 25 additional showings from the bench. In that permanent spell, he scored 42 times until he departed in January 2005 as a free agent.
Not worrying to me as it’s only the second pre season game yet ruthless decisions need to be made. The players are not sharp just yet as there’s still plenty work to do to get up to speed!

On Wednesday evening if he was watching a stream of our second friendly of the summer down at Gigg Lane as we took a 1-1 draw from Bury and in his opinion, Everton need to get ‘ruthless’ and lose the ‘dead wood’ if new manager Marco Silva is to achieve what he clearly wants to do at the club.
As you’d expect, the reactions to his advice were positive and in agreement as many fans think the same themselves.
Don’t even get why Williams, Martina, Mirrallas getting a run out. We know they should all be gone

Twitter doesn't allow enough characters for that

Spot on Kev some of those players are not even good enough to play for Bury time for massive changes and fast

Proper agree. It was poor. Worrying big time

Mirallas looked good. Sandro was making the right moves and Roertson looked more than decent!

Why are Williams and Martina still with us? Can only guess that nobody wants them….says a lot eh?

I think it was the last chance to shine under the new manager. I think the cull will come soon. Lots of deadwood that needs to be chopped!

I'm not as worried as most blues the first 30 mins we chased in packs and our movement was good you have to remember bury are at full fitness and even after making lots of changes and losing our way a bit we still hit the woodwork 6 or 7 times

Love to see honest opinions and not the usual Snods, sharpy and stuarts “he did well, he played well” you can tell who is employed by the club and who isn’t can’t you? #EFC
