After the Guardian reported that Bernard is set for a medical and that a move could be well on the way, Steven Pienaar has revealed his excitement at the potential move.
This potential deal surely surprised many of us as there didn’t seem to be much indication that it was on the way.
However, it now looks a real goer and it seems as though our South African hero is well up for seeing him in Blue.
He said during an interaction with a fan on Twitter:

Certainly, I think we have got good cause to be excited about this one.
The Brazilian is now entering his prime years and it is time he plays in one of the big leagues in Europe.
His name has done the rounds in previous summer and with other clubs but it looks like we’re in the driving seat and it would appear it’s time to start getting excited about his arrival.
