Everton have struggled to find consistency in the Premier League under Marco Silva, hovering in mid-table after a slow start this season.
The Toffees suffered a gut-wrenching defeat against Manchester United on Sunday, with the opening goal for the Red Devils coming from a controversial penalty won by Anthony Martial, which has raised the pressure ahead of the coming weeks.
Fans can be forgiven for looking back at better times and some did exactly that on social media this week, as the Premier League’s official USA account shared a video of former favourite Tim Howard interacting with Everton fans across the pond.
Now in MLS with the Colorado Rapids, Howard went across the supporters after this weekend’s 2-1 victory against FC Dallas and hugged an Everton fan in the crowd before kissing a Toffees flag.
Naturally, that was picked up by Everton’s own social media channels and fans flocked to share their thoughts on their former stopper.
We have gathered some of the best reactions below.

I miss big Tim here, We finally have a great replacement in terms of ability in Pickford but would be nice to see Tom back maybe working in the backroom staff as a GK coach.
