‘Fantastic’, ‘This is how it’s done’ – Lots of Everton fans loved what club has done now

The club does a lot of great work in the community, and this week is no different, with captain Phil Jagielka taking time out to take part in the Side by Side campaign, and surprise one loyal supporter with a season ticket for the 2019/20 campaign.

Jagielka visited Dave Williams hallway through his shift at the Kimberly-Clark paper mill earlier this week, and shocked the 52-year-old when he rocked up wearing a fluorescent orange high-vis jacket, safety boots and protective goggles ready to lend a hand.

Williams has spent more than two decades regularly working overtime in order to buy season tickets for himself and his four sons, but will not have to work quite as hard to make up the numbers this year.

It was actually his sons who nominated Williams for the surprise visit, as a thank you for the work he puts in to take them to Goodison Park every year.

While at the Kimberly-Clark paper mill, Jagielka did not slack around, either, as he gave Williams the afternoon off and started by making a cup of tea for the workers at the plant.

When the club later shared a clip of Jagielka’s factory visit, a lot of the fanbase were naturally impressed…
