With a comfortable finish in the Premier League in the season of 2017/18, Everton fans continue to have mixed opinions on manager Sam Allardyce.
As everyone will know, results have been mixed themselves given our form at home compared to on our travels and although Allardyce ticked the boxes of his appointment in terms of making us a more solid outfit compared to how we leaked goals more easily under Ronald Koeman, the lack of real attacking flair and intent has often caused consternation.
🏆 | Congratulations to @JPickford1 and @jonjoekenny8, who won Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season respectively at tonight's Supporters' Club awards evening! #EFC

With fans becoming more vocal, even at home, calls for Allardyce to be ditched have only intensified as the games have ticked by but after the season we’ve had, the End of Season Awards evening was a tricky affair when looked at through the goggles of social media.
The same could’ve been true of the Everton Supporters’ Club awards which took place on Wednesday evening at Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle.

24-year-old goalkeeper Jordan Pickford took the Supporters’ Club Player of the Season award for his debut year at Goodison Park and the England international adds that to his collection of three ‘Dixies’ he took at the previous awards ceremony – Player, Players’ Player and Young Player of the Season.
So far this year he’s been an ever-present in the league campaign.
Academy graduate Jonjoe Kenny took the Supporters’ Club Young Player of the Season award.
21-year-old Kenny has made 25 appearances in his breakthrough campaign this season, stepping in for Seamus Coleman during the Republic of Ireland’s skippers’ time out with injury.
Wayne Rooney took the Supporters’ Club Goal of the Season award for his 59-yard strike against West Ham United back in November at Goodison Park. That game saw him complete a hattrick on the night in our 4-0 victory.

19-year-old Morgan Feeney took the Supporters’ Club Under 23 Player of the Year gong for his role as skipper until injury in March sidelined him for the season. He made his first-team debut as a substitute in the Europa League clash against Atalanta at Goodison, making his senior start in the victory over Apollon Limassol a month later.
Pleased for Jonjoe. Didn't think he got the credit he deserved for playing so consistently during the worst time in the season.

At least Jordan can reflect on his first season with honour but I suspect that when he accepted the transfer he did not expect to have been under so much pressure throughout the season.
