Dominic Calvert-Lewin is starting to come into his own as our leading man, but the 22-year-old is still struggling to get the ball across the line.

That’s why one Toffees supporter on Reddit has suggested that Marcel Brands should look into raiding Fulham for Aleksandar Mitrovic, following the Cottagers’ relegation back into the Championship.

The Serbian centre-forward is certain to be hotly-chased in the summer, having been one of the few reasons why Fulham lasted this long before their fate was sealed, despite splashing over £100million on new signings in the summer.

A move for Mitrovic would not be cheap, however, as Guangzhou Evergrande had a £50m offer knocked back in January, when the Chinese Super League outfit looked to capitalise on Slavisa Jokanovic’s sacking. Tottenham were also suggested to have lodged a £27m bid for the 46-cap international on Deadline Day, and were unsurprisingly rejected.

Fulham, however, have been fearing a mass exodus of their top talent amid their relegation struggles, which has now been sealed.

If we were to try and test their resolve in the summer, we would be looking at acquiring a ten goal, two assist forward, who has attempted the second-most aerial duels of any Premier League player this season – Mitrovic has won 207 of his 410 duels.

The Partizan Belgrade product has also fashioned the most shots on goal of any player this term, although his 111 efforts have returned fewer goals than Richarlison or Gylfi Sigurdsson, despite our duo attempting 66 and 71 respectively.

When the suggestion, then, that we should be looking to sign Mitrovic was shared on Reddit, this is what some Toffees fans had to say…
