Explained: Richarlison’s asking price, salary demands, clubs linked with Everton man

|

Everton enjoyed a surprise 2-0 win at home to Chelsea on Sunday afternoon and Richarlison got himself on the scoresheet. The 21-year-old has enjoyed a bright start to life at Goodison Park, scoring and creating 13 goals in 29 Premier League games since joining from Watford last summer, and could be on the radar for a number of clubs across Europe when the summer transfer window opens.

Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid have been linked with Richarlison, and Calciomercato revealed AC Milan are also on the hunt for his signature. The Everton forward won’t come cheap, however, with Richarlison valued at £55m. According to Spotrac, he earns £4.7m-a-year/£90k-per-week at Everton and has four years left on his deal.

The Brazilian international is a real prospect but he might be too expensive for sides to pursue. Watford paid £11.5m to sign Richarlison from Fluminense in 2017 and joined Everton for £35m in 2018. His value has shot up to almost £60m in eight months. The most the Toffees have made from selling a player is Romelu Lukaku (£75m in 2017) to Manchester United.

Richarlison could run him close as things stand as Everton aren’t under any obligation to cash in. The Blues have lucrative finances and hold all the cards in any deal being sanctioned.
