Explained: Barcelona may have to pay £50m and £4.7m wages to sign Everton man

|

According to Marca, Barcelona are interested in Richarlison, although Everton have no desire to let the 21-year-old leave this summer. Richarlison has impressed in his debut season at Goodison Park, scoring and creating 13 goals in 29 Premier League starts, creating 18 chances and making 38 successful dribbles (48%).

Marca say Richarlison has a £50m asking price while Spotrac say he currently earns £4.7m-a-year/£90k-per-week. The Brazilian international, who boasts three goals in eight games for his national team, did leave Watford for Everton after an impressive debut campaign at Vicarage Road, so another transfer can’t exactly be ruled out.

Richarlison would surely jump at the chance to join a side like Barcelona, but there’s been no official approach just yet. With a forward line containing Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele, the Everton man might struggle for playing time at the Camp Nou. Malcom is expected to move on this summer, so Richarlison could be his replacement.

Everton and Barcelona have a good relationship, agreeing deals that have seen Lucas Digne, Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes move from Spain to England, so time will tell if Richarlison is next to switch between the two clubs.
