Fourteen players from the first-team, U23s, U18s and out on loan could leave Wolverhampton Wanderers at the end of their contracts next summer – Morgan Schneiderlin, Theo Walcott; Nicholas Defreitas-Hansen, Joao Virginia, Ryan Astley, Kyle John, Dennis Adeniran; Zan-Luk Leban; Matthew Pennington, Muhamed Besic, Kieran Dowell, Yannick Bolasie, Sandro Ramirez and Shani Tarashaj.

Which club did Everton loan Cenk Tosun out to in January?

Schneiderlin has made 88 appearances since joining Everton from Manchester United in 2017, but his time at Goodison Park could be up as he’s struggled for consistency. Everton may want to cash in this summer rather than lose the £20.7m midfielder for nothing next year.

Walcott has made 79 appearances since joining Everton from Arsenal in 2018, but his future is uncertain as he’s also struggled for consistency under Carlo Ancelotti and may be sold early. One goal in 25 appearances this season isn’t good enough for a winger earning £100k-per-week.

Pennington has made only nine appearances since rising through the youth ranks to the Everton first-team and could be on his way out this summer as he’s not featured since April 2017 and publicly stated a desire to leave for more playing time.

Besic has made 56 appearances since joining Everton in 2014, but his future looks to be away from Goodison as he’s spent the last two-and-a-half years out on loan – Middlesbrough (January 31, 2018 – May 31, 2018) (August 23, 2018 – May 31, 2019), Sheffield United (August 8, 2019 – present) – and hasn’t featured for Everton since 2017.

Dowell has made only five appearances since rising through the youth ranks to the Everton first-team, but he hasn’t featured for the Toffees since 2018. The 22-year-old has spent the last three years on loan at Nottingham Forest (August 3, 2017 – May 31, 2018), Sheffield United (January 2, 2019 – May 31, 2019), Derby County (July 11, 2019 – January 2, 2020) and Wigan Athletic (January 3, 2020 – present), so it’s hard to see him staying this summer.

Bolasie has made 32 appearances since joining Everton from Crystal Palace in 2016, but his time looks up at Goodison as he’s struggled for form, fitness and playing time. The 30-year-old has scored just two goals and made four assists in four years for the Toffees, which is a poor return for a £26m winger who earns £75k-per-week.

Bolasie hasn’t featured for Everton since 2018 and has spent the last two years on loan at Aston Villa (August 25, 2018 – January 21, 2019), RSC Anderlecht (January 31, 2019 – June 30, 2019) and Sporting CP (September 2, 2019 – present), so it’s hard to see him having a future upon his return.

Ramirez has made 16 appearances since joining Everton from Malaga in 2017 and looks destined to leave the club as he’s not featured since 2018 and wants to be sold this summer.

The 24-year-old has just one goal to his name for the Toffees and has spent the last two years on loan at Sevilla (January 30, 2018 – June 30, 2018), Real Sociedad (August 30, 2018 – June 30, 2019), Real Valladolid (July 2, 2019 – present) so he won’t be missed.
