Everton drew 1-1 with Tottenham on Sunday afternoon and Tom Davies was one of many players who came away with credit from supporters for his performance.
The 21-year-old had been short of playing time earlier in the season, but he impressed alongside Andre Gomes & Fabian Delph and should keep his place against Southampton on November 9.
With the loss of Gomes, it’s time for Tom Davies to step up and make the shirt his own. Excellent distribution today and always looked to play the ball forward. #EFC

Made up people are starting to praise Tom Davies now that he’s being allowed to play his game and not being restricted as a DM.

Tom Davies played well yesterday and I was very surprised that he was subbed, he should have been left on and subbed Mina, poor lad was limping for the last 40 minutes

Davies had made only two Premier League appearances before October, spending the first two months of the campaign as an unused substitute, but he’s now proven his worth to Marco Silva and will be an important player while Gomes recovers from a serious ankle injury.
Morgan Schneiderlin will soon return from injury, but Davies is likely to keep his place ahead of him.
Against Tottenham, the England u21 international played for 82 minutes, made 37 touches, completed 78.3% of 23 passes, whipped in one cross, made four tackles, had two successful dribbles, made one interception and drew one foul.
Should Marco Silva start Tom Davies against Southampton?
Yes
No
Davies has made six appearances in all competitions this season, five of which have come in the last six weeks. He’s been patient for opportunities but will get a run in the side while Gomes & Jean-Philippe Gbamin are out of action.
