Supporters reserved special praise for Tom Davies following his impressive performance in the victory over Southampton.

The 21-year-old Englishman put in an outstanding performance in Saturday’s 2-1 victory at St. Mary’s, opening the afternoon’s scoring with a well-anticipated header (as per BBC).

Following a post to the club’s official account, the Toffees faithful expressed their opinion on the £13.5-million rated man.

The goal was the academy graduate’s fifth in 96 appearances, having also assisted six goals for teammates during those outings (as per Transfermarkt).

His impressive performance on Saturday was enough to earn himself an 8/10 (as per Liverpool Echo), alongside the club’s Man of the Match award, leaving many supporters wanting to see more of the same in future.

What do we think?

The 21-year-old was absolutely fantastic in the win over Southampton, and played a pivotal role in bringing three points back to Merseyside.

For the season so far he has a 6.71/10 average rating (as per WhoScored), but with a consistent run in the team coming up due to injuries, hopefully, he will continue to build on his latest performance.
