The Icelandic international put the cherry on top of the cake on Saturday in Everton’s 2-0 win over West Ham at Goodison Park, with Sigurdsson’s stunning strike late on against the Irons the perfect way to cap off a statement performance from the Toffees, and to ramp up the feel-good factor up to 11.
The 30-year-old playmaker’s hit from distance was arguably one of the best goals Everton have scored this season, and plenty of supporters on social media were raving about the strike long after the final whistle on Saturday afternoon, with fans now starting to regain confidence in the squad after a dismal few weeks in the Premier League.
