We’re all intrigued to see Marco Silva start shaping his side into how he wants it and plenty of rumours are currently doing the rounds right now.

Indeed, one of the latest circling concerns a potential double deal with Barcelona where we aim to bring in Yerry Mina and Lucas Digne from the Nou Camp club to Finch Farm.

That said, then, we’d have Jordan Pickford in goal – England’s best player at the World Cup – with a partnership of the powerful Mina and Michael Keane just in front of him.

Meanwhile, we’d look much fresher out wide, too, with Digne taking over from Leighton Baines with his ability to bomb down the left, whilst Seamus Coleman will obvious be flying down the right.

It’s a defence that can battle any attack, read the game well and offer obvious offensive threat, too, so, potentially, if we pull the double deal off we’d be sitting very pretty indeed.

One Reply to “Everton’s new look defence after double deal could be very impressive”

  • Except Digne very rarely gets forward he’s very defensive which isn’t a terrible thing but no right sided ‘bombing’
