Everton ‘would pinch’ for Brazilian, future depends on ‘possible proposal’ from Toffees

According to Le10 Sport, Everton ‘would pinch’ for Thiago Silva and may have to battle AC Milan for his signature.

The 35-year-old is out of contract at Paris Saint-Germain this summer, but club president Leonardo has offered him a new deal.

Le10 Sport say Silva’s future at the Parc des Princes may depend on a ‘possible proposal’ from the Toffees.

Which club did Everton loan Cenk Tosun out to in January?

Everton are on the hunt for a centre-back to accompany Michael Keane, Yerry Mina and Mason Holgate next season after loaning out Matthew Pennington to Hull City last summer while releasing Phil Jagielka and Ashley Willams.

Carlo Ancelotti has Lewis Gibson and Jarrad Branthwaite as potential options, but the former is expected to be loaned out next season while the latter will likely continue his development in the U23s.

Everton are forced to scour the transfer market as a result and have been linked with Gabriel Magalhaes, Marash Kumbulla, Christian Luyindama, Issa Diop and Tosin Adarabioyo. Silva would be quite a coup, however.

The Brazilian international has made 310 appearances for PSG since his move from AC Milan in 2012. He’s won seven Ligue 1 titles, five French League Cups and four French Cups. Whether Silva would leave the Parisians for a move to England so late is his career is unknown.
