According to the Liverpool Echo, Everton’s loan pathways manager James Vaughan and a host of scouts and Football League managers were also in attendance for the game at Goodison Park with several EFC youngsters expected to complete loan moves away from the club during the January transfer window.

Tom Cannon is expected to be one of the top priorities for teams looking to bring in a striker in January across the EFL.

Cannon scored his first senior goal during last week’s trip to Sydney in a 5-1 win over Western Sydney Wanderers and is now expected to make the step up from youth football.

But he is not the only player that will be on plenty of club’s wishlists in January.

Stanley Mills has also had a tremendous season for the blues, being one of the standouts in their EFL Trophy campaign.

The teenager can play in a host of positions including right-back, right-wing and central midfield and could also have a January loan move on the cards.

The likes of Lewis Dobbin, Tyler Onyango and Ryan Astley all left the club in the summer on season-long loan moves but they are expected to be followed by numerous more players from the Everton academy during the January window.
