Everton will be without Fabian Delph, Jean Philippe Gbamin and Cenk Tosun against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday afternoon, as per Premier Injuries. The Toffees have confirmed that they could welcome back Mason Holgate and Andre Gomes, however.
Delph is out of action with a muscle injury and won’t return in time to face Wolves. It remains to be seen when he’ll be back, but Carlo Ancelotti is holding out hope of seeing the £10.8m-rated midfielder before the season finishes.
Gbamin is still recovering from surgery on an achilles injury and is likely to be out of action for the rest of the year. The 24-year-old has only made two appearances since joining Everton for £22.5m in August 2019.
Gomes has a “knock on his ankle” and was another injury doubt ahead of the Wolves clash, but the 26-year-old was also given the chance to prove his fitness before Ancelotti made a final decision.
