Everton have today confirmed that Paul Tait’s under-21s side will play their two upcoming fixtures against PSG and Southampton at Walton Park, home of Everton Women.

Everton first took ownership of Walton Hall Park stadium in 2020, with Everton Women playing their first Women’s Super League game in February 2020, losing 3-2 to Manchester United in front of over 800 spectators.

In June of 2020, it was announced that the stadium would undergo further renovation, increasing the capacity of the venue to 2,200 and implementing a new ‘hybrid’ pitch. The renovations were completed in September 2021.

Since then, Walton Park has become the home of Everton Women, with further renovations likely to come in the near future as the side continues to grow in quality and stature.

Everton’s under-21s side, however, have played most of their games in recent seasons either at Finch Farm (EFC’s training ground) or at Southport FC’s ‘The Pure Stadium. However, Everton have confirmed that Paul Tait’s side will play their upcoming fixtures at Walton Park.

Everton face PSG academy in the PL International Cup group stage in the coming days, as well as Southampton B in the Premier League Cup a few days after.

The young blues have had an impressive campaign so far this season, currently sitting in 4th place in PL2 and have scored a very impressive 21 goals in their last 5 games, the latest of which being a 6-3 win over last year’s PL2 champions, Manchester City.

Their PL International Cup campaign has also been rather remarkable, winning their first two group games over Braga and Hertha BSC, 5-0 and 4-1 respectively.

However, their next opponents PSG have not started the competition brightly at all, losing their most recent game 7-3 to Crystal Palace.
