Everton target reveals interest in move to England

|

Quoted by iSport in the Czech Republic – via teamtalk – attacking Red Bull Leipzig player Patrick Schick has revealed that he is open to a move to England, with Everton apparently interested in signing him.

The Blues are likely going to be linked with a number of players once the summer transfer window has opened up for business.

With Carlo Ancelotti in charge, the hope will be that there is a real effort from the Blues to try and get themselves some exciting new signings that can help the club start challenging regularly for the European spots in the league.

And, by the sounds of things, Schick is open to a move to England, with Everton keen on him already.

He revealed in his interview with the Czech outlet:

“When I left the Czech Republic, my dream was to play in Italy and I achieved that.

“Now, I feel very attracted to England, to be honest.

“Leipzig was absolutely the right choice for my career. I had also talked to Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and Schalke here in Germany.

“In England, there were Everton and Crystal Palace, plus Valencia in Spain.”

Everton evidently have an interest in the player – or at least did – and if they still retain admiration for him then it seems as though he is open to a move to these shores sooner rather than later.

Of course, these can just be words. Players often share the ambitions they have but actually achieving them is another thing, Leipzig might not want him to leave in the transfer window for a start.

This admission is interesting, though, and it’ll be fascinating to see if it sparks the Blues into potentially going back in for him once the next transfer window is open for business – not that there’s any danger of that happening any time soon.
