Jordan Pickford’s future became that little bit clearer last night as he signed a new deal with the club on a long-term basis.
The goalkeeper has been excellent for us since signing for Sunderland and it is safe to say that he is one of the best in the league.
Certainly, he is England’s best stopper without doubt and it seems as though he’ll be ours for some time to come now.
He’s sent a message to fans on Twitter, too, in light of the news with him having this to say:

He’s a good young goalkeeper with plenty of room to grow and we should now seem him develop into a world-class stopper with us.
It’s clear he is loving life at Goodison Park and if we can continue to sign up players of his calibre in the near future we are going to have a good few seasons in the coming years.
