Richarlison has shone so far this season and it is probably safe to say that he has been our best player in the top flight.
Of course, the suspension was far from ideal but he clearly has massive quality and it should be expected that he’ll be straight back in the side this weekend.
However, he is expecting Bernard to have a similar impact to him with his fellow Brazilian also arriving in the summer window.
As quoted by the Blues’ official website, he said:
“Bernard is an agile player. He is really fast and scores a lot of goals.
“With his speed, he gets behind players and is a danger in the box. His ability pushes opponents back and causes them problems.
“He is highly thought of in Brazil. He is known as Joyful Legs, so he is the type of player who will bring joy to the Everton fans.”
Clearly, Richarlison is expecting big things from Bernard and hopefully he is going to replicate the former Watford man’s early form.
We’ve certainly got some exciting players in this squad at the moment and if they all gel they should be able to deliver some pretty exciting performances and results.
Next up, then, is Arsenal and that will be a real test of where we are at.
