The latest Merseyside derby is on the horizon as the Blues welcome the Reds to Goodison Park in a game we’re all desperate to see the Toffees win.
It’s been a pretty drab season at times this year but at least we go into this game on the back over a decent win against Cardiff.
Certainly, that result suggests that our tails will be up and hopefully we’ll see that as we take them on and look to ruin their title challenge.
They have done well this season, but let’s be honest at Anfield we should have got at least a point and had we they wouldn’t even be top of the league.
Certainly, then, we need to try and get some revenge from that game and it looks as though Gylfi Sigurdsson has firmly got that on his mind.
Quoted by Teamtalk, he said:
“You always want to win these games, especially after the disappointing ending to the game the last time we played them.
“To lose a derby game like that, being so close to a good point away from home, was very disappointing.”
An interesting take from the Icelandic player, then, who seems very pumped up.
Let’s hope it leads to a win.
