Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb is reporting that the Blues have made contact with Inter Milan over wide midfielder Joao Mario.
The Portuguese star, of course, was on loan at West Ham last season where he put in some decent performances – though not all the time.
Marco Silva knows him well, though, and the school of thought apparently seems to be that he could get the best out of the 25-year-old.
Certainly, there must be something in the EURO 2016 winner with the clubs he’s been at in his career and if Silva can unlock that we’d likely have a real player on our hands.
Let’s see if Inter are willing to negotiate.
I wasn’t overly convinced with Mario at West Ham to be honest.
He’s a talented player, clearly, but he’s inconsistent and he’d personally have to win me over if he was to sign.
Silva might feel as though he can get the best out of him though.
