Everton are in need of forward additions in January as the club continues to flounder in the final third following Romelu Lukaku’s departure last summer and Marco Silva needs to take action.

The Toffees have utilised Richarlison as the leading man in the past three Premier League games but that experiment hasn’t worked, intensifying the need for a natural centre-forward to be drafted in as Cenk Tosun has struggled for consistency.

With the January window now just months away from opening, Goal Brasil states that Brazilian forward Gabriel Barbosa has made a move to the Premier League his priority after excelling in his home nation with Santos.

Everton, along with Crystal Palace and West Ham, are named as potential suitors for the 22-year-old who has scored 16 times for Santos this season and is ready to have another crack in the European game after struggling at Inter Milan.

While his inability to settle at the San Siro may be a concern, Everton have the likes of Richarlison and Bernard to help the Olympic gold medal-winning striker find his feet at Goodison Park – which could lead to a devasting partnership.

Richarlison, 21, and Gabriel Barbosa, 22, could shine for years to come and an excelling attacking trio would be capped off by Ademola Lookman, 21, playing from the right.
