Everton should avoid move for £40m-rated striker – agreed?

|

Everton have shown signs of improvement under the guidance of Marco Silva but consistency has been an issue, which has shown there is still plenty of room for improvements over the course of the months ahead.

A lack of a recognisable natural goalscorer has been a problem ever since Romelu Lukaku joined Manchester United in 2017 and plenty of names have been floating around as potential additions for the Merseyside outfit.

In eerily familiar circumstances to Lukaku, it is suggested that Everton will be given the opportunity to sign Chelsea misfit Michy Batshuayi if they offer a £40m fee for the 25-year-old striker – but Everton should not take a risk.

Batshuayi has failed to settle into English football after arriving from Lille, despite catching the eye on loan with Borussia Dortmund last season, and the fee for the Belgium international is far higher than what should be offered.
