Everton are set to submit an offer for out-of-favour French striker Moussa Dembele whose contract at Lyon is due to expire at the end of the season, according to recent reports

Despite Everton signing Neal Maupay during the summer transfer window and Dominic Calvert-Lewin recently returning to Frank Lampard’s side after being injured at the start of the season, the toffees’ strikers have only managed 2 goals between them.

Because of their lack of goals this season, Everton have been linked to several attackers during the transfer window, with Kamaldeen Sulemana the latest linked with a move to Goodison Park.

According to GFFN, Everton are set to submit a bid for out-of-favour Lyon striker Moussa Dembele. They could sign the Frenchman in January in a cut-price deal with his current contract at the Ligue 1 side coming to an end at the end of the season.

Dembele spent 3 seasons in England with Fulham before completing a move to Scottish champions Celtic.

He scored 51 goals in 94 appearances in Scotland, earning him a move to his native France with Lyon.

Although the 26-year-old has only scored 2 goals in Ligue 1 this season, he had a remarkable goal-scoring campaign last season, scoring 21 goals and 4 assists in 30 games.

Dembele’s form has not been perfect this season, but he would certainly add lots of attacking prowess to the Everton front line in their fight for Premier League survival.
