According to recent reports, Everton still have an interest in Brazilian centre-half, Rodrigo Becao and Udinese have just set their valuation for the 26-year-old.

Becao signed for Italian side, Udinese from Bahia in Brazil. He did spend a year on loan at CSKA Moscow before moving to Italy, but since joining, he has become a starter in Udine, making over 30 appearances in 2 of his 3 seasons to date.

Italian news outlet, TuttoUdinese have claimed that Everton and Tottenham Hotspur are the ‘most interested’ clubs for Becao. The centre-back’s contract expires in 2024, but he would like to stay at the club until the end of the 22/23 season, the report adds. [via HITC Sport]

Everton are not short of centre-backs at this point in time, with Conor Coady and James Tarkowski currently taking up the two positions in Lampard’s side. Yerry Mina, Ben Godfrey and Mason Holgate are all currently out through injury, but when they get back, EFC will surely have more than enough centre-backs in their squad. Players such as Ryan Astley and Jarrad Branthwaite are currently out on loan but are both more than likely to be involved with the first team next season.

However, with Yerry Mina being heavily linked with a move away from the club in the summer and the likes of Michael Keane falling out of favour with manager, Frank Lampard and also likely to leave in the summer, there will potentially be a place in the squad opening up for Becao, especially if Lampard wants to return to his preferred 5 at the back formation.

According to the Italian outlet, Masseggero:

“Udinese will hope to secure at least €20 (£17.6m) for defender Rodrigo Becao”

Whilst this is quite a large fee for a player that may not get straight into the starting line-up, with recent reports suggesting that Yerry Mina could leave EFC or about £10 million, the blues could raise some cash through sales and, in turn, bring some quality into the squad as well.
