Last week we pondered the question, would M’Vila be pinched from Redknapp’s grasp?

Rennes midfielder Yann M’Vila has been linked with a move to Queens Park Rangers throughout the winter.

The 22-year-old France international is available for around £10million and QPR have the money to spend to lure him to the Premier League.

Everton and David Moyes are also reportedly interested, but with our more modest budget, we were looking for a loan move with a view to a permanent switch in the summer, spreading the cost of around £10million over many months.

Not exactly favourable to the French club when they can cash in immediately, but we had hoped that hopefully chasing a European place would persuade him that Goodison Park was better than a relegation battle at Loftus Road.

So could be be pinched from Redknapp’s grasp? Well yes appears to be the answer, but it’s not Everton doing the pinching.

The Daily Mail have reported that M’Vila is now likely to make the move to Russian Premier League side Rubin Kazan.

If there was any thoughts as to whether this proposed move from France was money motivated then that’s your answer right there!

L’Equipe doesn’t go as far as to indicate how much the transfer fee will be, but M’Vila is expected to finalise personal terms on a four-year deal in excess of £3million a season!
