The Word On The Tweet

“Is that him waving goodbye?”, “Don’t leave us” – Lots of Everton fans react as training image emerges

Plenty of Everton fans have flocked to a recent image posted by the club’s official Twitter account.

It shows striker Moise Kean in training smiling as he spots the camera in the distance and it has sparked a reaction from many of a Toffees persuasion.

Arguably, the 20-year-old has been an already divisive figure in his relatively short time at Goodison Park. He joined the club from Juventus for a total of €30m (£26.7m) in the summer.

Since then, Kean has been dropped from the squad for missing a team meeting, disciplined for disobeying the government’s lockdown regulations and infamously became the ‘substitute that got substituted‘ by big Duncan Ferguson during his caretaker stint.

The Italian centre-forward has evidently struggled to adapt to life in Merseyside having only been able to provide one goal and two assists in 22 Premier League appearances, via Transfermarkt.

Although, he’s a young lad that moved country for the first time, so there’s hope he can improve for us next season, especially under the guidance of fellow countryman Carlo Ancelotti.
