Everton salvaged a late, late point against relegation-threatened Aston Villa this evening and supporters were less than impressed with their winger, Bernard, unleashing at him on Twitter.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side looked to be heading for yet another defeat before substitute Theo Walcott headed home from a goalmouth scramble just two minutes from time.
The visitors had opened the scoring just 15 minutes earlier when Ezri Konsa nicked a ball past Jordan Pickford after Conor Hourihane delivered a peach of a set-piece into a dangerous area.
Would you sell Bernard this summer?
Yes!
No!
Plenty members of the Goodison Park faithful slammed the Brazilian wide man for his display, calling him an “absolute nothing player” as well as “shocking”.
He was even labelled a “criminal waste of wages.”
Per SofaScore, the 27-year-old picked up a mediocre 6.5 rating having provided zero key passes or crosses and managed to notch just the one successful dribble. A very dire performance for a winger indeed.
Here’s the rest of the reaction…
Offers nothing. Criminal waste of wages

Honestly if the rumours that Fenerbahce are interested in Bernard are true- I’d let him go for whatever.

First order of business @Everton get rid of Iwobi and Bernard Fraggelrock 😢💙 #EFC #Brutal

What a ridiculous article. Absolute nonsense again.
Absolute bullshit article, by far one of the most creative players in the squad. Iwobi at £34m and £70k+ a week is worse.
