It’s being reported today that Everton and Marco Silva are still looking to bolster Everton’s frontline following speculation linking us with the likes of Wilfried Zaha and Malcom, and we have highlighted former Manchester United youngster Adnan Januzaj as an ideal candidate.

The 23-year-old made the move from Old Trafford back in the summer of 2017 and his next destination was Real Sociedad in Spain’s La Liga. It’s understandable why he moved on from United, he’d fallen down the pecking order and saw himself loaned out to Borussia Dortmund in the first half of the 2015/16 season and he only made three starts and nine substitute showings. 2016/17 saw him spent time at the Stadium of Light where game time was better, 21 starts and seven substitute showings with one goal returned – but they were relegated that season.

His spell at Sociedad saw 32 appearances in total from stats I can find, and 22 of those were from the start and he returned four goals and four assists, so he’s much more like his old self and his stock is rising once again. England followers might remember his goal for Belgium in the Group Stages of the World Cup this summer out in Russia.

nieuwsblad (regular reading in this house) have reported that contact has been made by Everton over doing a deal this summer.

Again the speculation leans on the potential departure of Yannick Bolasie, but I’d be surprised if anyone was overly against this deal coming off as he does seem to be a Silva type signing when you think of the boxes he ticks – pace, technique, age etc.
