William Carvalho will not be joining Everton by the looks of things with reports surfacing that the player is to join Real Betis this summer.
The defensive, EURO 2016-winning midfielder has been linked with a move to the Premier League for some time and the Blues seemed to be involved in the race this time around.
However, nothing has come about in all honesty and it’s perhaps no surprise that he has agreed to move to Betis according to Portuguese outlet A Bola – via talkSPORT.
The Verdict
I’d be more disappointed if I felt we genuinely had a chance of getting him in but this deal has never really got off the ground where we were concerned.
He was linked with the club for a bit but it looks as though we won’t be getting him this summer now or potentially for the foreseeable.
He’s apparently agreed a move to the Spanish side so let’s see if it gets confirmed.
