According to FootballInsider Everton midfielder, Allan is on his way out of the club and will be swapping Merseyside for the Middle East of the UAE.

Allan was signed in the summer of 2020 by Carlo Ancelotti for a reported fee of £21M [TransferMarktand quickly became an integral part of his system playing every minute he was available. Last season, in Rafa Benitez’s system he was not the same player we expected. Even though he was not the quickest around the field, he had lost that extra yard of pace he did have.

Should Allan move on?

Under Frank Lampard, he was given a different role, similar to what Gareth Barry did in his time at the club. Using his experience to be in the right place at the right time, and allow someone else with an engine to do the running for him, but for one reason or another, Lampard does not see him as part of his plans.

In the summer, Idrissa Gana Gueye was brought back to the club and Lampard also added Amadou Onana and James Garner, two players who can play in Allan’s role, and with the improvements to Alex Iwobi and return of Tom Davies, a player Lampard seems to trust. Allan has now found himself further down the pecking order and has yet to get any minutes so far this season.

With 11 days left before the United Arab Emirates transfer window shuts, if any transfer is made for Allan, now would be the perfect time to sell the 31-year-old (32 in January).

It is a shame we haven’t got to see Allan and Gueye as a pair, as I thought they would compliment each other perfectly, and that still might happen, but with the international break currently taking place, we may never see Allan in an Everton shirt again.

What do you think? Would you sell if an offer was made for Allan knowing we cannot replace him unitl January.
