Everton have made an enquiry to the Bundesliga side Union Berlin love the potential signing of versatile attacker, Sheraldo Becker, with sources suggesting that they see the 27-year-old as the replacement for Anthony Gordon.
The toffees confirmed the departure of Anthony Gordon on Sunday, with the 21-year-old making the switch from Goodison Park to St James’ Park for a reported fee of around £45 million, massive money for a player with only 7 professional goals in his career.
However, although this departure leaves Everton with a lot of cash on their hands to make some signings before the end of the January window, they now have less than 24 hours to spend it.
But despite not having much time to replace Anthony Gordon, they seem to have found a forward that could potentially do so.
According to Florian Plettenberg, Everton have made an enquiry over the potential signing of Union Berlin forward, Sheraldo Becker. The Bundesliga side do not want to sell their top-scorer in this window, but Becker would be open to a move to the Premier League.

Like Gordon, Becker is able to play pretty much anywhere across the forward line but mainly operates as a right-sided striker or a right-winger.
He has scored 7 goals and assisted 4 in 18 Bundesliga games this season, playing a pivotal role in Union Berlin’s recent rise to success.
Becker also has 5 appearances for his national side, Suriname, for whom he has scored 2 goals.
Despite being 6 years older than Anthony Gordon, he could prove the perfect replacement for the Englishman.
