According to the London Evening Standard, Everton are looking into the possibility of signing Maxime Gonalons from AS Roma.
The Blues have a taste for spending now after signing Richarlison and the French midfielder could well be the next man to come to Finch Farm.
However, Crystal Palace are also keen on the player with him valued at £10m by his current club.
Indeed, it’s thought Palace are keen on him as a replacement for Yohan Cabaye and so the Blues will have to keep across things if they are to gazump the Eagles.
Gonalons is a useful player in the middle of the park but I’m not sure if we need him.
We’ve got other areas of the pitch that need strengthening more than central midfield and so I’d rather we prioritised that.
Even so, if we got him in as well as improving certain positions that wouldn’t be a bad thing at all.
