It has been a very successful week for Everton’s loanees, with Lewis Dobbin getting on the scoresheet for Derby County and Lewis Warrington putting in a solid performance to give Fleetwood Town a crucial 3 points. However, Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite, on loan at PSV Eindhoven stole the show.

Jarrad Branthwaite joined PSV Eindhoven at the start of the season after having somewhat of a breakthrough season at Goodison Park under Rafa Benitez. Since moving to The Netherlands, the centre-half has played 20 times, with 3 of his appearances even coming in the Europa League and Champions League qualification.

The Englishman earned his starting place for PSV’s match against FC Groningen after incredibly netting twice in his side’s previous fixture, a 3-1 win over FC Emmen.

Branthwaite would net YET AGAIN in the game, nodding in just after the hour mark in a 6-0 victory to put his side 3rd in the Eredivisie.

Lewis Dobbin has struggled to maintain his place in the starting squad st his side, Derby County in league 1, only earning himself a starting place in 1 of the Rams’ last 5 games. He was, however, named in the 11 for their trip to Wycombe Wanderers.

Derby would fall behind early on and, although would equalise in the 66th minute, would be losing 3-1 deep into the game thanks to two goals from Lewis Wing.

In the 89th minute, David McGoldrick’s cross would be met by Lewis Dobbin who would strike a thunderous effort into the top right corner to give his side a lifeline. However, they were unable to stage a late comeback.

Since moving back to his native France on loan with Saint-Etienne, Niels Nkounkou has put in some stellar performances, assisting two goals for his side last time out.

Digon in Ligue 2 would be next up for the left-back and, although he failed to register an assist, he would play a pivotal role in helping his side to an important 2-0 victory, lifting them out of the relegation zone.
