Everton Legend’s Six Words Are Spot On After Watford Win

|

In Saturday’s clash with Watford at Goodison Park, Everton picked up their first three points of the 2019/20 Premier League season following the opening day draw with Crystal Palace.

26-year-old Brazilian, Bernard, made his chance in the tenth minute count to open the scoring, and with the defence keeping the clean sheet on the day, a 1-0 victory was enough to give manager Marco Silva his first win of the new season.

With a number of positives to take from the game, given our summer arrivals are still settling in and adjusting to life at the club, one man, in particular, was pretty happy at the fulltime whistle and legend Neville Southall was quick to take to social media to send his praise to the players for their efforts.

Yes, plenty will point to the fact it wasn’t a great performance, but two games in we’re off the mark and that’s all that counts, and with five home wins on the spin going back to February’s defeat to Manchester City, that in itself has to be a positive as we look for better this year.
