It was being reported that Everton have developed an interest in Ivory Coast international and Crystal Palace attacker Wilfried Zaha.

The 25-year-old has apparently had a £70million price tag slapped on his head by the London club with Tottenham Hotspur long said to have had an interest in him. It’s also now being said that Marco Silva is a long-term admirer and with him reportedly turning down a new contract at Selhurst Park, the speculation about his future continues to grow.

The Daily Mail were one of a number to report our apparent interest in him.

They stated that we would look to offload Yannick Bolasie to help fund a move for him, but for all intents and purposes, we’ll probably be looking to offload him anyway with speculation surrounding a possible move to Turkey continuing to feature on the rumour mill as he keeps getting linked with Fenerbahce.

As well as continued interest from Tottenham, it’s also said that Borussia Dortmund have joined the hunt for the player, but at £70million it would seem unlikely given we are looking to trim the squad and our spending – but it would certainly be a statement.
