According to 90min, Everton are interested in Glen Kamara and may have to battle Sheffield United, Crystal Palace, Newcastle and Southampton, Norwich City, Brentford, Olympique Marseille, Dynamo Kiev and Dinamo Moscow to procure his signature.

Steven Gerrard has been full of praise for Kamara, but 90min say Rangers are resigned to losing the 24-year-old if they receive a lucrative bid this summer. It may take an offer of £10m to lure him away from Ibrox, but only Kiev and Moscow are ready to make the first move.

Which club did Everton loan Cenk Tosun out to in January?

Who is Glen Kamara?

A defensive-midfielder who has made 58 appearances in all competitions since joining Rangers for £50k from Dundee in January 2019, scoring two goals with three assists. Kamara began his career at Southend United (six appearances) and was headhunted by Arsenal (2012 – 2017) where he made one appearance at senior level.

The midfielder struggled for first-team football in his five years in North London, leading to loan stints at Southend (January 22, 2016 – May 31, 2016) and Colchester United (August 31, 2016 – January 3, 2017) to get more opportunities.

Kamara ended up being released by the Gunners in 2017 and was picked up by Dundee, where he made 64 appearances before Rangers came calling. The 24-year-old hasn’t looked back and could be set for another big move after impressing in 2019/20.

Are Fabian Delph and Jean-Philippe Gbamin in danger of being replaced?

Possibly. Delph has endured a disappointing debut season and hasn’t looked like a Premier League winner from Manchester City. The 30-year-old has spent a lot of the campaign sidelined with various injuries and is being linked with a move away from Everton as a result.

Gbamin has spent the entirety of his Everton stint on the treatment table after suffering a quadriceps injury in 2019 and achilles problem in 2020, making just two appearances in 12 months, so his future is also uncertain.

Delph has made 20 appearances and hasn’t set the place alight, but Gbamin hasn’t been able to show fans what he’s all about, so the former looks more likely to be sold. Delph’s former club Leeds United may be interested in renewing acquaintances too, so time will tell if he’s moved on.
